If you create an account, we store the account details you provide (such as your email address) to run authentication and email you things you've asked for, like confirmation and password-reset emails.

If you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit, we additionally collect anonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), and device/browser type — to understand how the site is used. If you decline, none of this is collected and no analytics cookies are set.

3. Cookies & analytics consent

We use a third-party analytics service to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. It only starts running after you click “Accept” on the consent banner — nothing is loaded or measured before that choice is made, and your choice is remembered so you won't be asked again on this device. IP addresses are anonymized before being sent, and no data collected this way is tied back to your account.

Account information is used solely to operate your account. Usage data (when consented to) is used in aggregate to understand which parts of the site are useful and to guide what to build or fix next — never to identify you individually, and never sold or shared beyond what's needed to run analytics on our behalf.

Consent, here, means agreeing to let us collect anonymous usage data about your visit — it's a choice about data collection in general, not tied to any one tool. You can accept or decline via the banner shown on your first visit; declining is stored in your browser and honored on every later visit. You can also clear your browser's local storage for this site at any time to reset that choice, or use your browser's own tracking-protection settings to block analytics outright.
